Survey Technician Position 

Jones Associates, Inc. (JAI), a well-established land use consulting and survey company located in Auburn Maine, is seeking applications for a Survey Technician position.  Candidates must have a degree or extensive experience in surveying.  

Survey responsibilities include collecting data using survey instruments, field reconnaissance, marking property boundaries, construction stakeout, deed research, and computer-aided drafting and math computations. The successful candidate should have considerable knowledge of principles and practices of surveying, modern survey equipment, and GPS equipment.  The applicant should have experience with Autocad and/or Carlson software.

The successful applicant must have the ability to work unsupervised, understand and follow written and oral instructions; the ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing is essential.

Individuals must have a clean driving record, be willing to work outside in all types of weather and be able to work independently.
